PRESS RELEASE

CERTIFER announces the acquisition of ERASM

CERTIFER, a subsidiary of the Apave Group and a leader in certification and technical assistance in the field of guided transport, is acquiring ERASM, a recognised player in risk analysis and operational safety.

ERASM, a 12-strong company based in Aix-en-Provence, has been working with its customers on complex projects since 2012. Major references include the automation of Paris metro lines, the implementation of battery systems in urban and rail transport, and the design and production of critical equipment for the aerospace and defence industries.
This operation will enable CERTIFER to strengthen its Solutions division (already established in Scandinavia, Australia and Brazil, and currently being rolled out in North America and Italy), which brings together teams dedicated to supporting its customers in their projects involving homologation, safety assurance and operating optimisation. CERTIFER is also extending its remit to other sectors, such as defence and aeronautics.
The founding partners of ERASM, Bruno Mathieu and Christophe Barnier, become respectively Managing Director and Technical Director of ERASM – CERTIFER Solutions France.

Nicolas Castres Saint-Martin, Chairman of CERTIFER:
“The acquisition of ERASM (already a partner for several years, and which will become the future CERTIFER Solutions France) is in line with our development strategy and complements our current portfolio of services, drawing on the expertise of a well-known team that has built up a solid reputation in France. The arrival of this team at CERTIFER will help us achieve our growth objectives and create new opportunities. We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues based in Aix-en-Provence, and look forward to working with them to develop new services for our customers, in order to satisfy them and respond as effectively as possible to changes in the market.”
“By joining CERTIFER and the Apave Group as a whole, ERASM has chosen a coherent and ambitious project. The complementary nature of our offerings is obvious: the importance of certifying critical equipment is constantly being demonstrated, and we are positioning ourselves alongside manufacturers in the transport, energy and defence sectors to meet this challenge. For us, this merger with the APAVE group and the CERTIFER team will be a tremendous boost to our development, with the aim of consolidating and expanding our expertise”,
say Bruno Mathieu and Christophe Barnier, founding partners of ERASM.

“This acquisition, the Apave Group’s 21st since the end of 2020, is part of Apave’s ambitious 2025 strategic plan, which aims to develop the Group in France and internationally, notably through external growth, particularly in the Transport sector, a strategic sector for the Group. ERASM’s arrival within the Group will enable it to accelerate the transformation of its consultancy offering and consolidate its presence in France, the Group’s historic base”,
says Philippe Maillard, Chief Executive Officer of the Apave Group.
